A LOT OF PEOPLE WHO END UP HERE HAVE ALREADY DONE “THE WORK”.
They might’ve spent time unpacking their childhood, identified patterns that make their life and relationships the way they are, or explored their own attachment style. They’ve read the books, listened to the podcasts, and often done therapy before. And still…their nervous system feels “jacked up,” their mind won’t stop spinning, or they keep finding themselves in the same exhausting relationship dynamics.
You might be someone who thinks deeply about your life and relationships: someone who feels things intensely, notices details others miss, and is often the person people turn to for insight or support. (All things that also make you good at your job.) From the outside, you seem capable and high-functioning, but internally, it feels like you’re holding too much—and far more than most people realize.
You’ve come to the point where you’re realizing you’re not just looking for more insight—you’re ready for something that actually helps things shift.
That’s the gap my work is designed to bridge.
Maybe you’re here because…
Your nervous system feels constantly on edge, like you’re always bracing for something.
Even though you understand certain things about yourself or your patterns, nothing seems to change.
You’re trying to recover or move on from narcissistic abuse and trust yourself again.
Everything on the outside looks “fine,” but inside it’s an entirely different story.
You’re feeling lost, “stuck,” or creatively blocked.
You feel things deeply, which can be a gift, but that passion can sometimes be overwhelming.
Despite your best efforts, your mind won’t stop spinning with rumination, overthinking, and worst-case scenarios.
You want therapy that supports your creativity and personality, not something that tries to change it.
HELLO, I’M LAUREN.
I’M NOT INTIMIDATED BY BIG STORIES, COMPLEX TRAUMA, OR THE MESSY PARTS OF BEING HUMAN.
In fact, that’s where some of the most meaningful change begins. One of my biggest strengths as a therapist is my ability to get on someone’s level very quickly. My clients often tell me they trust me and feel understood right away—and that matters, because the work we do together is meant to go deep.
My background in the creative world deeply shapes how I approach therapy. As an author and former professional actor, I see the process of healing as something that requires curiosity, imagination, and the willingness to look at things from different angles. At the same time, my training as a certified yoga therapist (C-IAYT) grounds this work in the body. I draw from breath work, mindfulness, movement, and nervous system regulation alongside trauma-focused therapy to support real, lasting change.
I want you to feel safe here—safe enough to do the deeper work of coming back to yourself and moving from where you are now to who you’re meant to be. My style is active, direct, and collaborative, and my goal isn’t just to help you feel better in the moment, but to help you reclaim your life and your sense of self. That means combining depth with practicality—exploring the patterns and experiences that shaped your nervous system while also giving you real, accessible tools to navigate everyday life differently.
MY AREAS of EXPERTISE
-
Creative minds operate differently. There’s nothing quite like being “in the flow,” but sometimes our inspiration is also accompanied by feelings of pressure, uncertainty, and self-doubt. I understand the ups and downs of a creative life—because I’ve lived it. Therapy can become a place where your sensitivity, imagination, and vision are supported (without explanation) rather than minimized or pushed aside.
-
Trauma lives in the mind, yes, but it also lives inside the body. When you’re feeling anxiety, hypervigilance, emotional flashbacks, or constantly bracing for something, your nervous system may still be reacting to experiences that haven’t been fully processed. We’ll use a combination of mind-body techniques to help your system finally settle down so you can feel safer, free of the tension, and less defined by the past.
-
When your nervous system is constantly “on,” even the smallest things can feel overwhelming (and inconvenient). In our work together, we’ll combine practical tools for calming your system with intentional, somatic exploration of what’s driving the anxiety beneath the surface, along with support for managing the thought patterns that tend to spiral or keep you stuck—so you can feel more in control of your day-to-day life.
-
The impacts of narcissistic abuse—whether from a parent, partner, or workplace—can be complicated, confusing, and painful. It can cause you to question your reality (what’s true and what’s not), your boundaries, and your sense of self. This work focuses on helping you untangle the effects of your experiences, along with the negative beliefs you might’ve received as a result of narcissistic relationships.
-
The connection between your nervous system, body, and emotional experience is where we can begin true, lasting transformation—while also making space for the deeper, more intuitive parts of yourself. Using movement, breath, mindfulness, and other somatic practices, I seek to help your system release stored tension, process deeper experiences, and build a greater sense of safety, awareness, and regulation from the inside out.
-
EMDR is a transformative, evidence-based approach that helps process and integrate unresolved experiences. Rather than just talking about what happened, EMDR allows your brain and nervous system to reprocess memories so they no longer carry the same emotional charge.
-
Brainspotting is a powerful, body-based therapy that helps access and release trauma stored beneath conscious awareness. By working with the brain and nervous system directly, it can open pathways for healing that traditional talk therapy may not always reach.
-
Sometimes meaningful progress requires more focused time and space. Intensives offer an immersive format to process trauma, work through difficult experiences, and address the complex challenges of life more efficiently and deeply—helping you move through what feels “stuck” with momentum and support.
